Carmel Cafe and Wine Bar in Sarasota

Bang bang shrimp and Lily’s chicken have been my standby for many years now. Doesn’t have to be seafood, you can’t go wrong with bonefish grill. Great ambience, cool craft cocktails, quality food, and an attentive waitstaff make this a good choice. Not cheap but you pay for.

I go here every other months for a paralegal board meeting. It's always a fun experience. Food is great and ther service is spot on.

The food was delicious but we waited for almost 40 minutes for it to be served. Half of that time would have been more acceptable. Atmosphere was great. I do love the restaurant

Fantastic food, and top notch service. Glad I finally went to a location. I was amazed at how quick the food came, and how great it tasted. Everything was clean, the outdoor areas had heaters overhead. Ryan was very sharp with the refills, and any other requests. Nice experience overall.

Always a very nice experience. Our server was very knowledgeable, probably one of the best we’ve encountered at any restaurant. He knew the menu and drinks. Everything he recommended was perfect. Also, I gotta day they have some of the best margaritas.

The food was good and reasonably priced. The kids meals were also very good and very well priced. I had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken and would definitely order it again. Our server did a great job. Lastly, our Martinis were perfect. It has been a very long time since we have been to Bonefish, but we will certainly be back.

This location is very nice. Always beautiful sunsets. The staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I did a lunch here for my birthday and after my meal they brought me out a desert. It was a very delicious. The entire meal was delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and came up to us many times to make sure we were happy with everything.

Clean..good food and decent service

Crab cakes actually had a lot of actual crab in them!.... The Thai coconut shrimp was perfectly crisp on the outside and stilll juicy on the inside.... Awesomely Perfect Bloody Mary!!!....... definitely five-star dining!!!

Just ran in and got some bang bang shrimp to go while running errands elsewhere in the shopping center. Their food is always good and always tasty!!

Pro tip: Wednesday’s are $5 Bang Bang shrimp night, a great deal on a delicious appetizer. Savings tip: Join their Dine Rewards program and get an entree for 1/2 price every fourth visit to Bonefish, Carrabbas, or Outback. Perfectly prepared seafood in a beautiful setting with great service. I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service here. Love it.

The food here is amazing. I would totally recommend the bang bang shrimp, not too spicy or sweet with a nice texture. The rest of our meals were a good size and just about perfect. Our waitress was incredibly personable and made sure we had the best experience possible. Will be returning.

The restaurant was very crowded, but outside seating had tables open, so we were seated right away. The weather was pleasant, so we sat on the patio. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. They were out of Lobster Bisque so we opted for Bang Bang Shrimp. It was excellent! Our meals were well prepared and delicious. Barb was given a slice of cheese cake for her birthday. All in all a very pleasant evening.

We got there arly, about 4:45 and the service was exceptional. All of the employees were friendly and very responsive. Food was great!

Loved it! Had been wanting to go here for a long time amd finally was able to. The Bang Bang Shrimp was great and a hefty appetizer. The lobster tails were sweet and juicy. The ambiance was very soothing. Great place!

POOR waiter, did not know menu or sides. When asked what sides we're available he said we could read the menu.Ahi Tuna was served a grayish red. Certainly not fresh caught, but priced above market for fresh. We will not be eating there again.Seems that when the original company is bought quality goes down and price go up.Really. Overpriced for what they offer.

The place is PACKED! And it seems for good reason too! Great food at affordable prices. The grilled salmon was cooked to perfection, served with two sides of my choice. I had the broccoli and potato au gratin. Unfortunately, the broccoli spent too much time in the microwave or boiling water; it's too soft for my liking. I prefer my veggies crisp, but it's no deal breaker. Service was great as well.

Really good meal. Some new dishes on the menu. Service a little slow at first but improved during the meal. Bread was warm and delicious.

Our server, Austin, was first-class. We've had him as our server several times at this location of Bonefish Grill, as well as another restaurant in a different city several years ago, & he remembered us. He was very friendly & attentive.

Five sides of cole slaw. Dry. Just shredded cabbage. Bread was stale and hard. Entrees were good.

Have been in the business off and on over 20yr period, mostly as a bartender. My mother and I visited at noon on a whim after picking up an order at Total Wine next door. We sat outside due to her physical limitations. Our Server Liz was nothing short of exceptional! She was "on it" w/ every aspect of our experience. We were both going to have Tea, then I changed my mind and we both ended up w/ Bloody Mary's. Hard to impress me there, but they were yummy 😋 good. I had the Trout entree w/ potatoes & veggies, my mother had the Bang-Bang Shrimp Benedict w/ bacon. Both meals prepared perfectly. Sign of a good Restaurant; a Mgr checking on ya. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable. Food was okay, we had better at other BG locations.

This restaurant used to be a great place to eat with great service as well. Lately it had lost its edge. Especially when they busy. Food isn't prepared perfectly or nicely as used to be. Servers at times seem a bit confused. Hope they get their niche back.

Daniel's service was very professional and I can tell that he genuinely cares about the person dining. He is a true gentleman & role model. The Friday the 13th special was very tasty, the coffee was fresh and the atmosphere was comfortable. - The light bulb is out above the second booth in. Other than that the desert was also delicious. Bonefish is a Tried-and-True franchise that still seems interested in delivering consistent Seafood. My favorites always include the venerable white lump crab meat crab cakes, the fresh catch of the day and the "never improperly cooked" Sea Bass. Customer service is always excellent, as is service and cleanliness. I love the staff's flexibility to give me my vegetables grilled. The ambiance is always a bit somber for my taste in terms of lighting, but I know the inception of this franchise's success is reportedly a function of them creating an environment that seemingly subsumed their guests. But, especially for a mid-day or late-afternoon meal, when I would not typically volunteer to experience the juxtaposition of wonderful light to a less measured notion of somber, I wish the light of the environment could be somehow more modulated. Nonetheless, the food is always delicious and the balance of the experience consistently notable.

We so enjoyed our waiter, Javier & his assistant Laura. The saucy shrimp did not disappoint. The rainbow trout was great along with the garlic mashed potatoes & broccoli cooked to specifications. The house salad was served on a chilled plate. Delicious as usual. The sea bass was perfect. The cole slaw was mediocre. The Jasmine rice was so bad it should be taken off the menu. Always room for improvement at Bonefish, but still worth a visit.

Ordered Salmon rare, and it came out perfectly, a nice slightly crispy sear on the outside, juicy and soft on the inside.

Could be better. The pepper should intensify the flavor. It cannot be the most outstanding ingredient. The seafood spicy risotto was just spicy food with some seafood and rice. The attendant was in a hurry. She offered desert before I finish my plate. I'll never come back.

There was a bug in my husband's beer and a piece of foil in our food. The portions were extremely small and sides weren't seasoned- very bland. Nice server but kept us waiting forever for everything. For 2 cheaper meals and 2 drinks each we spent $100 and it was far under worth it. Obviously stick to the local seafood restaurants over these chains.

I love all the different seafood special's they have. Such fresh seafood. Great food and wonderful service.

Our group tried all of their desserts they were all fabulous the brownie was definitely my favorite. We went for brunch the unlimited mimosas was amazing. I had the crab cake rancheros add the egg which was delicious and filling, everyone in my group enjoyed their selections.

The food is always good they are. I love Wednesdays for their bang bang shrimp special. Bobby is an excellent bartender a very personable nice to be around.

Update on May 31, 2020We finally got to go out and sit down for a nice meal again!!! Lucas was exceptional in every way. The bang bang shrimp are to die for and we all enjoyed everything from the shrimp to the steak and mac and cheese. They are doing a wonderful job and were following all of the covid-19 guidelines that have been placed upon them. My son had the blackened fish tacos and is still talking about how good they were. So happy to see we still have a nice place to go and get a great meal with reasonable prices!! (Best mac and cheese anywhere)BRAVO BONEFISH GRILL!!Great service, appetizers, drinks and entrees. I give this place 5 STARS and the server was the best I've encountered in Sarasota!!

We were able to get seated after a 30 minute wait. Service was prompt and food was tasty and at a good value. Portions seemed smaller than most places. Food very consistent each time we visit.
